  1. I have been watching your videos and I hope you can make a video on the best carry-on luggage 2024 before the early Black Friday sales. 😀

  2. bulkiness – yes – I make a point of finding tops that are made of thin breathable fabrics. They take up so much LESS SPACE

  3. Capsule wardrobes make sense but I’m really stubborn about them for some reason! I have to give in and pack in a capsule wardrobe for an upcoming trip. But I’m perfectly fine only taking two pairs of shoes.🤷🏽‍♀️

  4. Great advice! ALWAYS try on all your outfits and take pics of the different ways to mix and match. And never take anything that you haven’t worn at least a half a dozen times or so, especially shoes! My bestie and I are leaving in just over 5 weeks for Ireland and Northern Ireland. We’ll be there for 21 full days. We’ll be layering daily and we’ll be able to do laundry along the way. BUT, we are taking rain boots along with one pair of sturdy sneakers and another pair of comfy shoes (I’m taking Bobs; she’s taking loafers). Fortunately, neither of us wear make up, wear jewelry, nor overly fuss with our hair so we won’t have space taken up by those things. We are both using the maximum allowed sizes of carry ons and personal item bags our airline allows so I’m confident we won’t need to check in a bag. 🤞🏼

  5. I have been watching several videos related to packing in a carry on for several years and I am intimidated . I swear my carry on is looking at me lol. I have a trip coming up next month and I hope it goes well this time with the packing. Last time it was cool/ cold where I went. So what did I do… I packed big bulky clothes. I don’t unfortunately have the money to purchase clothes that has been suggested so I can layer. 🤷‍♀️. Anyway thanks for your videos , guidance and advice.

  6. Do you hand wash items in the sink and line dry? If so what do you use? I’m going to Iceland and want to hand wash my base layers, swimsuits etc…

  7. Lol I have a problem with shoes I have to take a least 3 pairs .it’s really hard to get it in Mexico they don’t really have my size 10 or 11😢

  8. I dont own a rain jacket or parker. I will even buy one in Alaska. I dont have access to anything where i live.

  9. Hi! I watched your Béis small carry on video and realized that I had watched a previous video of yours some time ago and I never forgot the advice that you gave. When I saw you pack the Beis luggage I was sold…she travels the world and is a beautiful plus size packing Ninja?? SOLD! I want to be like you when I “grow” up lol. Needless to say…new subscriber here. Thank you!

  10. The “what if’s” get me bogged down, but i can’t seem to help it!! Makes carry on only more challenging 😬

  11. Somehow I think I didn’t finish this video and I came back to complete it and I’m so glad that I did because I love your explanation that’s much more clear now regarding the capsule wardrobe and how to go about preparing it

  12. Ughhhhh- i dread packing!!! Just started travelling for work in the last two years- so grateful for your channel found via your July luggage review

  13. What other travel topics do you need help with or do you have a step you’d like to add? Let’s talk about it!

  14. Ok oK OK – only 2 pairs of shoes? Cruising: dressy flats or sandals for dinners, my Brooks for running around the airport ( my feet need good support) and my EVA Birkenstocks. That’s 3 and I think that is reasonable. I pack socks and stuff into the spaces in my Birks LOL

  15. Another question: my personal item is larger than the size requirements, but it’s squishy, so should squish into the sizer if they ask… does that work for them? I have the Beis sport backpack…

  16. I always find your videos so beneficial! Thank you! ..I always try on the outfit ideas to make sure they work , before I go and pack the specific chosen items…I have saved myself some disasters this way! Love your work! Hi from Oz

  17. Love your videos! I’ve never really traveled before and want to plan a trip to Greece and have carry on only (still trying to convince the hubby we can do it) and your videos are so great to make the preping less stressful for packing.

  18. Love all your content! You are inspiring and helping figure out carry-on only for my first trip at 53 to Italy (and your Europe)! My carry on restrictions are 20" x 16" x 9" and HAS to include the wheels! Air Transat is the airline here in Toronto Canada. It is a struggle!! I’m down to wanting to purchase the Take Off 2.0 XL. How do you find the spinner wheels on that bag? Have you used it often? Worried about cobblestone streets since the wheels are detachable. Any extra info on this would be amazing! Thank you!

  19. Ok, I always pack carry-on but pack 3 pairs of shoes. I need to change my walking shoes everyday, I alternate them. This way my feet don’t hurt as much and I’m able to do all the walking I will be doing. Then I pack another pair, sandals in summer or light boots in winter. I will change into these for like dinner or just to rest my feet. This is important to me and I can live without a lot of other stuff, as long as I don’t have foot pain when traveling.

  20. I signed up for your newsletter to receive the packing lists. For some reason, the link isn’t working. I keep getting the Unauthorized Error 401. Even after clearing my cache. Is there any other way to get the lists? This packing video is one of the best I’ve actually seen. Most packing videos are just a pack with me. This one goes in-depth on how to pack, not just what to pack. Keep up the good work!

  21. Do water shoes count as shoes?

I find cutting out shoes difficult because I’m picking several for specific functions. I need something flat with little grip that I can dance in (jazz boots), but I also need something I can walk in for miles like my regular athletic shoes and sandals (which are clunkier than because plantar fasciatist sucks). So that’s three pairs.

    Plus water shoes. 😂

I could probably not pack the croc foam slip ons that I like for going to the pool, hot tub, or sauna, but they’ve got arch support and dry immediately (unlike the water shoes), and are way easier to get on and off than my sandals.

If I’m not going someplace hot and/or with swimming and/or with dance parties, I’m only taking two pairs.

  22. Thank you for your videos and all your tips! I am going to Istanbul (again) in November and I have already started pulling out clothes to put a capsule wardrobe together! I especially love your suggestion about trying on your clothes first! Even though Istanbul is a very metropolitan city and I have seen every style of clothing there, I personally dress modestly. Which basically means this type of clothing takes up more space! This definitely will be a challenge to put together a capsule wardrobe for just a carry on! 😆

  23. Love your tips 😊 I have watched several of your videos in the past (I am oddly entertained by packing tips and love organization lol) and thanks to your tips, I was able to have just enough in my carry on for a 2 week trip to Europe! 💕 And next time I’ll definitely try on my clothes before a trip. Made the mistake that my outfits would look good (since the individual pieces already worked on me) but at the trip, the combinations didn’t look right and I wasted time at the airbnb before heading out 😢 best to spend extra time at home than at the trip!

  24. I really love the concept of carry on bag travel but I fly out of a small airport and must gate check all bags, of any size. If it rolls, it can’t be brought on. Even if you try without wheels, it can’t get on. And the only bag I’ve ever had lost or left behind is one that was gate checked. Left it right on the tarmac. So, I don’t bother any more. I’d rather grab a bag from the carousel now. I do like follow for bag reviews and try hard to follow advice for reducing what I pack. Anyway, I do wonder if knowing you were going to check everything no matter what the size (other than a school sized backpack) would that change your mind?

  25. Hi Sweet Lauren!! Please tell me you have the new Monos carryon EXPANDABLE and you are reviewing it SOON ❤😉

  26. We are going carry on fro australia to alaska and then hawaii. 4 weeks in total. We have acess to a washing maschine the first 8 days annd in hawaii. Looking forward to travelling lite

  27. Lauren 2 pairs of shoes is ambitious. I’ve done 3. Headed to London (4 days), Iceland (a little over 48 hours 😂) Portland Oregon (3 days). I am determined to do carryon only. Iceland has me stomped…waterproof, windproof and i just don’t think i can fit hiking boots (we really won’t be doing falls etc just site seeing from the car).

  28. I bring three pairs of shoes- one pair of runners to workout in, sneakers, and a second pair of sneakers for work.

  29. I always try on all the pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories I’m considering first a trip. That way I can more easily see what works and fits and what needs to be eliminated or switched out for another piece.
Regarding the 2 shoes only rule… I sometimes don’t even bother with a second pair. And then, on trips with “special situations” I may pack 2 and wear one. But the extra pair is usually something like a pair of strappy heels or sandals that don’t take up much room. (I may wear a pair of boots on the plane and pack a pair of sneakers, in addition to the heels.)
As far as tops… I either pack 2 fancier options, that work well for a dinner at a nice restaurant… or I use statement accessories, like a scarf or blingy jewelry set, to jazz up a solid colored top.

  30. I would rather do carry on. I use the Biaggi expandable with packing cubes and now a foldie for under the seat. If we both go we have 2 overhead carry ons and the one under the seat. Packing cubes have revolutionized my travel. Once you use what is in one, it becomes a dirty clothes cube. I can put so much into them. Now all I need is the dry bag for washing clothes and a way to dry them.

  31. Your advice about trying on outfits and wearing a capsule wardrobe has revolutionized my packing. Thank you!

  32. best video ever! definitely wish I had made a capsule wardrobe for my last trip. So many items went unworn and it was miserable to repack

  33. I have a long distance relationship going on for 4 years now and i always struggle to pack. Just got the small BÉIS rolling bag and i am sooooo nervous to pack cause I had a slightly smaller bag than the regular BÉIS carry on.
    Love your content ❤❤❤

  34. for shoes I recommend having versatile shoes, there is a brand named Pashion that makes convertible heels, so those are the perfect shos for travel for me because i can have everyday and party or evening shoes with me with less pack space…they are not cheap thought but worth it

  35. Good point, and if you’re coming to Australia, our airlines usually have a 7kg carry on limit, so a lightweight carry on bag is better. I use a samsonite 72HR because it’s the most lightweight rolling case I could find. Some of the hard-shell cases can weigh a lot more and that’s like half your packing limit gone just in the case! 😂
